With Prime Ministerial Decree of April 16, 2021, pursuant to art. 4 of the Decree Law of 18 April 2019, converted with modification by Law 14 June 2019, n. 55, Dr. Pasqualino Monti, President of the Port System Authority of the Western Sicilian Sea, was appointed Extraordinary Commissioner of the interpriority infrastructural event for the "relaunch of shipbuilding in the port of Palermo and creation of the Port-City interface system".
Among the works affected by the Commissioner's Office, the intervention called "Port of Palermo - Completion for the safetydry dock size 150,000 dwt - First functional lot" CUP I77G19000070007, eligible for funding from FSC funds.
