- The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) has the requirement for a long-term agreement for the for asbestos and rockwool inspection, detection, removal and disposal services at the UNGSC in Brindisi, Italy.The service shall be carried out at the UNGSC premises by a licensed asbestos abatement contractor on an "as and when required basis" and consists of a series of operations aimed to abate the presence of asbestos, as per the following main steps:-Asbestos Detection Services: Site Inspection, sampling and analysis of suspected asbestos materials.-Asbestos and Rockwool Abatement Works: Encapsulation or containment of asbestos-containing materials, followed by their safe removal and proper disposal.-Site-related Works and Services: Equipment rentals, scaffolding, fencing, utility work, site cleaning, and labor for technicians and operators.- Miscellaneous: Temporary relocation of goods and provision of labor for various tasks, such as recycling bins, signboards, and other movable items, as necessary to facilitate the execution of the works.- All-Inclusive Services: Preparation of safety documentation, Asbestos Abatement reports, site preparation and related activities.Subcontracting is permitted for minor activities.
