Description:
The Port of Villa San Giovanni, with a land extension of about 0.4 ha, falls within the Calabria special economic zone (ZES) system. The port has its main function in the ferrying of railway carriages on ships built for this purpose and for this purpose it is equipped with special lifting bridgesment that allow direct boarding. The connection with the national railway network is ensured by large shunting yards with dedicated track bundles where railway operations are carried out.
The zero socket is characterized by phenomena of structural deterioration and local settlementsspecifications of the roadway of the slipway.
