Description : The objective of this framework contract is to operate the CEMS ‘Hydrological Forecast Centre — Analytics and Dissemination- (DISS) service in support to the flood forecast and monitoring component of the Copernicus EMS.
The role of DISS is to:
(i) analyse once a day for GloFAS and twice a day for EFAS the flood forecasts for the entire modelling domain;
(ii) inform the ERCC and national hyrdrological services which are part of the EFAS partner network in case of high probability of flooding in the river basin under their authority; and
(iii) to summarise daily the ongoing and forecasted hydrological situation for the ERCC and GDACS. Furthermore, the Flood dissemination centre;
(iv) manages the partner network;
(v) organises an annual user meeting (for EFAS and GloFAS);
(vi) organises and leads regularly user training sessions; and
(vii) supports the ‘Hydrological Forecast Centre — Computation- with the testing of new developments.
