The service consists in the experimentation of a "port goods buffer" which is substantiated in a Operating model of regularization and efficiency of the traffic of intermodal transport units (UTI) at entry/exit from ports, to be built in suitably equipped extra-portion areas, organized and managed to absorb the peaks of freight traffic and rationalize the times of the Board and landing transits, with the aim of decongesting the infrastructures of the port nodes of the port system of the western Ligurian Sea.
