• Description:
• The Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Zahle and its lifting station are located in the Bekaa Governorate in Lebanon. The WWTP consists of 2 processing lines each having a capacity of 18,500m3/day. The WWTP is a tertiary treatment facility that was put into operation in October 2017 and has been continuously operating since that date. The lifting station conveys Zahle-s wastewater to the treatment plant and comprises 2 pumps. Its power consumption is 15 KW with a flow of 17,000m3/day and has a head of 10m. The facility is equipped with 2 site generators to provide electricity in case of public power cutoffs or blackouts. The Contract covers delivery of engineering supervision services. The Service Provider will: (1) Supervise the operation and maintenance of Zahle Wastewater Treatment Plant and related lifting station; (2) Provide key experts to work jointly with the team of BWE in order to ensure a proper Operation and Maintenance of the plant and related lifting station; (3) Assess the needs and perform preventive and corrective maintenance interventions according to the O&M manual in collaboration with the team of BWE; (4) Develop performance evaluation and prepare technical reports; (5) Perform “on-the-job” training activities to the personnel of the BWE in order to develop their capacities; (6) Coordinate with AICS Expert and the team of BWE for a periodic delivery of materials and spare parts and a proper execution of services.
