Description:
Award of the public transport service of supplementary services to the regional railway service, carried out continuously with automotive methods.
The analysis of the operating program currently entrusted to Trenord highlights that the runs carried out in automotive mode is distribute throughout the regional territory, being functionally integrated with the railway services network, in a way related to the availability of the railway infrastructure, the hourly bands and methods of maintenance of the same, to the circulation, such as The absence of intersection points that prevents the insertion of races in the opposite direction.
Consequently, the perimeter of the supplementary services subject to entrusting coincides with that of the lines entrusted to Trenord (Annex 1.A.1 of the contract) and concerns the entire regional territory, including of the extensions of these lines to the neighboring regions, for a progressively variable quantity of production in reduction by a maximum of 2,600,000 Buskm/year starting from the first year up to a minimum of 1,650,000 Buskm/year. It should be noted that this value is estimated using travel roads, while the values present in the Trenord service contract conventionally use railway distances. Road distances are about 38% higher than the railway ones.
