Service for the three-year operational management of the Foce dell'Isonzo regional nature reserve in the province of Gorizia, and of the natural areas, buildings, structures, infrastructures and equipment present therein (CPV 92533000-6 - Nature reserve services).
The nature reserve regional mouth of the41042ad53247f54a3e573a8c87482365the Isonzo, established with the Regional Law n. 42 in 1996, extends along the final part of the course of the Isonzo river in the territories of the municipalities of Staranzano, Fiumicello, S. Canzian d'Isonzo and Grado on a total of 2,350 hectares and for about 15 km in length. The protected area includes many areasnti that host flora and fauna rich in rare or infrequent species at regional and national level. The avifauna is particularly interesting, with approximately 300 species recorded, of which over 85 have nested in the last ten years. The Reserve, open all year round, is considered of interest ininternational for numerous environments and for the animal and plant species it hosts. It includes, in 2,350 hectares, ponds, reed beds, woods, meadows, cultivated fields, the last 15 kilometers of the Isonzo river and its mouth, tidal and open sea areas. In addition to the numerous bird species, some have been countedalso 27 of mammals, 32 of fish, 9 of amphibians, 11 of reptiles, 340 of plants.
